"Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, Faculty of Engineering, organizes on Friday, October 29, 2021, the international event to multiply the results obtained within the strategic partnership "STEAM Education and Learning by Robotics, 3D and Mobile Technologies" - FabLab SchoolNet entitled "Introduction to Robotics, 3D Printing, and Mobile Devices. From Design to Production and Exhibition”.

The project is funded by the Erasmus+ KA201 program and is coordinated by Siauliu Didzdvario Gymnasium, Lithuania, in partnership with the National Research Council - Istituto per le Tecnologie Didattiche, Palermo, Italy, the 2nd EPAL of Trikala, Greece, Varnenska Morska gymnasium "Sv. Nikolai Chudotvorec ", Bulgaria, FABLAB Palermo, Italy and "Dunare de Jos" the University of Galati, Romania, implemented between October 2018 - October 2021.
 
The main objective of the project is to create and develop a new transnational educational network that promotes an integrated way of thinking in the development of new products, by adopting educational methodologies such as Learning-by-Doing / Learning-by-Making and that encourages young people to participate. in a flow of entrepreneurial activities, from concept, design, prototyping, realization, and marketing. The FabLab SchoolNet concept materialized by creating a FabLab network (Fabrication Laboratory) within the partner institutions, to attract young people to the field of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), to develop their creative spirit and entrepreneurial skills.
 
The main theme of the FabLab SchoolNet project multiplication event is how innovative technologies such as educational robotics, 3D printing and augmented reality using mobile devices, dedicated to pre-university education, together with Learning-by-Doing / Learning-By-Making can improve the entrepreneurial opportunities of young pupils and students. Teachers, pupils, students, designers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and hobbyists are invited to the event to present their ideas and share their experiences in the development of modern educational technologies and methods. Also, private companies will participate in the event, which will highlight the advantages of integrating formal and non-formal learning with the socio-economic environment.
 
The international event will take place online (Zoom), being broadcast on the communication channels of the project, and will have two sections, in Romanian and English.
