Between 26-28 November, the Training module Introduction à la communication marketing funded by the University of Francophonie Agency will be held at the Faculty of Letters within the Formatheco - Formations courtes professionnalisantes project. In charge of the project is Professor Alina Ganea. The training will be provided by Professor Roumiana Konstantinova from the Management University of Varna, Bulgaria, and as audience are students from the specialty of Applied Modern Languages (2nd year).
On 30 October, the 120 delegates from 18 countries attending the International Conference "Conservation of Danube Sturgeons - a challenge or a burden" issued the Galati Declaration on Sturgeon Conservation in the Danube Basin and Black Sea, which from now on will guide the implementation of the Pan-European Sturgeon Action Plan under the Bern Convention and EU Habitats Directive.
The conference was jointly organized by “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati (Research and Development Center for Sturgeon, Aquatic Habitats and Biodiversity), the DSTF (Danube Sturgeon Task Force), the Romanian Ministry of Water and Forests, the Romanian Ministry of Environment, NAFA (Romanian National Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture), WSCS (World Sturgeon Conservation Society) and WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) and took place under the patronage of the Romanian Presidency of the EUSDR (EU Strategy for the Danube Region) and the Romanian Academy, held on 28-30 October in Galati.
2019 EMSHIP+ Week will take place between October 28th – 30th, 2019, at the Faculty of Naval Architecture within European Master – Emship programme.

Between October 23rd – 25th, the Faculty of Engineering within “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati will organize the 2nd edition of the International Conference - New Trends in Environmental and Materials Engineering – TEME 2019.
Between October 28th – 30th, the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology within “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati will organize a series of events to mark 30 years since the fall of communism. Thus, on October 28th, at 10.00, room AS 004 (Str. Domneasca no. 111), historian Florian Banu, from Consiliul pentru Studierea Arhivelor Securității (National Council for Studying the Department of State Security Archives) will hold a lecture about Mihai Caraman, the most famous spy of Communist Romania, the one who managed to obtain well-kept secrets of NATO.
The International Conference "Conservation of Danube Sturgeons - a challenge or a burden?" this will be organized by "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati on October 28-30, 2019 and will gather in Galati over 100 experts who have proposed finding concrete solutions for the conservation and recovery of sturgeon populations in the Danube and the Black Sea, under the European Sturgeon Action Plan.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of philological studies in Galati, the Faculty of Letters organizes, on October 25th, 2019, at 11:00, in the Aula Magna, an anniversary colloquium, attended by former and current professors and students, specialists who contributed to the development of philological education at "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati.
